Dr. 丽莎R. 布朗获得了博士学位.D. in Adult 教育, Learning and Organization Development from the University of Georgia (UGA). Before joining the 道成肉身的大学, she was an adjunct professor in the Department of Psychology and 教育 at Columbus State Community College (CSCC) instructing teacher preparation courses. She is an active member of the American Association of Adult and Continuing 教育 (AAACE) serving as a conference proposal reviewer and presenter. Her community service work has included participation in The White House African American Stakeholders on PPP and COVID-19 Relief Efforts under the Trump Administration. Dr. 棕色(的) also served as a long-term substitute and super substitute science teacher in the Columbus City and Akron Public Schools respectively.

As part of a team of researchers led by Dr. William Darity at Duke University, they received a $300,000 grant from the William T. Grant Foundation to “Support Research on Reparations for Black American Descendants of Enslaved Persons.”  The funding will help highlight her scholarship and culminate in a book chapter entitled “Reparations and Adult 教育: Civic and Community Engagement for Lifelong Learners.“那本书, The Black Reparations Project A Handbook for Racial Justice, was published by the University of California Press and is currently 可在此购买.  

Dr. 棕色(的) currently serves as the co-editor for the American Association of Adult and Continuing 教育 (AAACE) conference proceedings and is the editor for an online volumed quick guide series based on the book From Here to Equality (Darity and Mullen, 2020) that encourages the participation of adult community-based scholars who serve as guest authors to discuss the legacy of slavery in America and how reparations can 关闭 the racial wealth chasm in our nation.  She is also an entrepreneur serving as the Organizational Primary Proprietor (OPP) of Emergent Global Spirals (EGS) Consulting, 学术研究业务.
